I'm a mom, and an artist. I paint mostly with acrylic on any surface I can find. I create jewelry also. I like painting whatever comes to my head from inspiration in nature, fantasy, or dreams. I call my art style abstract though it varies from modern to macabre to mixed media, or abstract and simplistic. Just depends on my mood. I love music and it is the fuel for each brush stroke.

Getting out there

I have been working hard to get my art seen anywhere possible. I am starting to see that it is no easy feat. I will stick through it though. I started an Etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/kristycribb?ref=si_shop  and the more I look at other shops, the more I realize I am going to have to start producing a lot more art and jewelry if I'm going to be seen. I don't want to become rich from my art, but I do want it out in the world. I hang all of my pieces in my house...I feel that is just very egotistical...I don't want my hard work stuck in my walls, I want other people to enjoy it too.
